KETCHUP

You are about to eat some fries
& you want some ketchup
because it’s a match made in heaven,
which is the name of the feeling
of obvious simplicity,
like drawing a smiley face
or I dunno, THE SUN,
but there is no more ketchup
at all in town or city or kingdom
so you descend into the opposite of heaven,
which has no word
but it does have a sound, a sound of
a door being opened for the last time
& the door is to the house
of your childhood home,
you are leaving your childhood home,
why are you leaving when you
could just as easily not,
when you could just as easily
sit down & have your favorite lunch,
& nothing is wrong, & nobody
is wrong, & wrongness itself
cannot survive here, because you
would eat it up for even trying.
